FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Got questions? We've got answers! Email us at info@turtleheadmusic.com if you have a question that isn't answered here.
1
How much are lessons?
Weekly private music lessons cost $30 per half-hour.
2
How do I sign up?
Book a trial lesson. (Don't see a time slot that works for you? Email us and we'll find one that does!) After your trial lesson, you'll receive an invitation to enroll in weekly lessons.
3
How do I pay?
Weekly lessons are billed as a flat tuition fee of $120 per month. This fee is auto-billed on the 1st of the month to the credit card you have on file.
Monthly tuition fees are the same every month, regardless of the number of lessons in a month. Most months include four or five lessons, with rare three-lesson months when the school is closed for major holidays.
If you don't want to be auto-billed (or if you're paying through the Hope Scholarship), please pay by the 1st of the month for the upcoming month of lessons.
4
How old does my student need to be to start lessons?
We generally recommend students start private lessons no earlier than age 6, but many of our instructors accept younger students on a case-by-case basis.
Give us a call for more information on enrolling your young student.
5
What do I need to get started?
Students are responsible for purchasing their own instruments, books, accessories, and other materials for lessons. But for your first lesson, no materials are required — just swing by the office and borrow one of our trial instruments!
6
What if I have to cancel?
As long as you cancel your lesson with at least 12 hours’ notice, a Make-Up Lesson Credit will be issued. Make-Up Lesson Credits never expire and can be used anytime.
Cancellations made with less than 12 hours’ notice are not eligible for a Make-Up Lesson Credit.
